Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior, or a graduate student. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  6. Must major in engineering (any field) or computer science.
  7. Must be a member of SWE.
  8. Must be attending school within the Region E boundaries (Delaware, District of Columbia, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to female undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring engineering or computer science and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must be members of SWE and attending a school within the SWE Region E boundaries.

Application requirements for the SWE Region E Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
  • Recommendation letters (2)
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $1,750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,750.
