Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must be accepted to or enrolled at University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
  4. Must participate in a traditional choral music group.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must reside in Eastern Tennessee.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  8. Must enroll on a full time basis.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for students at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville who are members of a traditional choral group. Applicants must have permanent residence in Eastern, TN.

Application requirements for the John H. and Carol R. Evans Choral Music Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Preference will be given to applicants planning to attend school in Tennessee and work in the East Tennessee area following graduation. Factors to be considered by the selection committee will be: financial need; general aptitude for advanced educational work; evidence of participation in and service to the community; and the maturity and professionalism of the student, in that order of importance. The selection committee reserves the right to conduct brief interviews with finalists.

Award Amount: $1,200  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,200.
