In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in and attend school in Burkburnett, TX.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend a college or university in the state of Texas.

Additional Information: The Best of Burkburnett Scholarship is provided annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students in Burkburnett, Texas, who show a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors in Burkburnett, Texas and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may plan to attend any accredited college, university, or trade/vocational school in the state of Texas and may pursue any field of study.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, provide as a one-time, non-renewable award.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
