Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be in grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 at the time of application.
  2. Must be enrolled in a public, private, parochial or a home-study program in Texas.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must have an interest in art.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is open to Texas high school students. Students must submit a piece of patriotic art (digital art not accepted). Award amounts are as follows: first place, $500; second place, $300; third place, $200. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1000. Click here to learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: VFW Post 6899 and Ladies Auxiliary will judge all entries and select winners. The first-place winner's entry will be submitted for competition at the state level. The state-level winner will go on to compete at the national level.

Award Amount: Award amounts are as follows: first place, $500; second place, $300; third place, $200.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
