In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Ira Mitzner Collegiate Boxing Scholarship aims to allow a student, who shows the same love and dedication of boxing, to pursue an education. Ira’s family has established this scholarship to honor a truly brave, talented, intelligent, and courageous man, who was deeply loved and respected by many.?

Application requirements for the Ira Mitzner Collegiate Boxing Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • A signed release form allowing the IBA to contact your school.
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: To be eligible for the $10,000 Ira Mitzner Collegiate Boxing Scholarship you must be: Any currently enrolled undergraduate student attending a four-year college or university, who is also a competitive boxer for a United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association member club. -OR- Any high school senior accepted to a four-year college or university, who will be a competitive boxer in the United States Intercollegiate Boxing Association Championships and start a member club. Financial need, GPA and a demonstrated commitment to academics will be considered in the selection process.

Award Amount: The winner of the Ira Mitzner Collegiate Boxing Scholarship will receive $10,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
