Number of Awards & Eligibility: The awarding of academic admissions scholarships is highly competitive. Less than 10 percent of the incoming fall freshman class will receive a scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a first-time entering freshman.
  3. Must attend Florida International University.
  4. Must plan to enroll full time.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 4.0 or higher.
  6. Must have an ACT score of 30 or higher OR an SAT score of 2000 or higher.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Florida.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to first-time entering freshmen at Florida International University. Students must have a grade point average of 4.0 or higher, and an ACT score of 30 or higher or an SAT score of 2000 or higher.

Application requirements for the FIU Presidential Scholarship are:

  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information: Scholarship recipient notifications will be sent out beginning Jan. 15. Recipients must accept the scholarship and submit their enrollment deposit by May 1.

Award Amount: This scholarship provides 100 percent of tuition and fees, plus books. Scholarships are renewable if the student maintains: full-time status; a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; and completion of 30 credit hours between fall and spring terms.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,777.
