Description: Southern Methodist University offers full tuition scholarships based on academic merit and community service to admitted first year students. Applicants need a 3.3 GPA to be considered and to renew for later years.

Application requirements for the President’s Scholar Award are:

  • No application requirements for this scholarship
Additional Information: Full tuition and general student fees, renewable for up to eight semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first as long as the student maintains full-time enrollment status each semester and a 3.300 SMU cumulative GPA • President's Scholars also eligible for the Campus Community Award, which pays on-campus residence hall and meal plan charges • Tuition and transportation for a summer, term, or full year abroad to one of SMU's Study Abroad international programs, or tuition for one June session at SMU-in-Taos • Opportunities to meet distinguished scholars, dignitaries, and artists, and attend major cultural events and lectures
