Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies according to the amount of funds available and the number of eligible students. Funds may not be available to award all eligible students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Maryland.
  3. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll as a part-time student (6-11 credits per semester).
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. Must be a high school junior or older at time of application. Students may be dual enrolled (while in high school) or enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student.
  6. Must enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Maryland undergraduate students who are planning to enroll part-time (6 to 11 credit hours) at a Maryland institution. Students must demonstrate financial need, as determined from information provided on the FAFSA.

Additional Information: Eligibility for a Maryland Part-Time Grant is based on student financial need, as determined by the FAFSA. Recipients are selected by the institution. Dually enrolled students must contact the financial aid office of the institution they will attend to determine eligibility to apply.

Award Amount: $200 to $2,000 annually, renewable for up to a total of eight years. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress, as determined by the institution, and must complete the FAFSA each year to renew the award.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
