Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately 2,500 grants are awarded each year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for Montana resident undergraduate student who are attending an eligible postsecondary institution in Montana. Students have earned at least $3,625 during the previous calendar year, and have an EFC of $8,050 or less, as determined by the FASFA.

Application requirements for the MTAP Baker Grant are:

Additional Information: This grant is awarded, based on need, to Montana resident students who have earned at least 500 times the Federal hourly minimum wage. For the 2013 award year a student must have earned at least $3,625 during the previous calendar year. Recipients must also have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC), calculated by the FAFSA, of less than 8,050.

Award Amount: Award amounts may vary based on the number of eligible applicants and the amount of funding available. The average award amount, based on amounts from previous years, is approximately $800 annually. Awards are not automatically renewable, recipients may re-apply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $850.
