Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be a legal resident of the US or possess a valid student visa
  3. Must be a current undergraduate student.
  4. Must be a manual or power wheelchair user.
  5. Must be 16 years of age or older.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The SpinLife Innovation in Motion Scholarship program was designed to aid college students in their academic endeavors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated perseverance, embrace new opportunities, understand how their disability affects their lives, and strive to find ways to serve as a role model for others with similar disabilities.

Award Amount: $1,000 offered annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the SpinLife.com website. In addition to complete application students must also submit a personal statement on the theme: "Life in Motion." Statements may be in the form of an essay, poem, or visual image of any media, but it must be the student's original work and must fit on one 8.5" x 11" page. Students may also submit a letter of recommendation from an unrelated adult who can speak to the applicant's potential, although recommendations are not required. The application letter and personal statement must be submitted by either email to the email address provided with the subject "Scholarship Application 2017 - Your full name" or by postal mail. All submissions must be received by the deadline date.
