Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must be enrolled full time.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  6. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior, or a graduate student at time of application. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  7. Must major in automotive engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or materials science & engineering.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to female U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in selected engineering fields. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the Cummins Inc. Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
Additional Information: Underrepresented groups will be given preference. Recipients must be willing to intern with Cummins Inc. Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
