In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS) is a nonprofit. Each year they award 3 to 5 scholarships of $5,000 each to first, second and third year medical or dental students in good standing who need financial aid to pay for dental education at an accredited U.S. dental school.

Additional Information: Since the early 1970’s CAMS has awarded scholarships to outstanding medical students in need of financial aid. Throughout the years, funding for the scholarship program has come from generous donations by CAMS members and friends the Society. Each year between 3 to 5 students are awarded scholarships. Stipends are currently $5,000 per annum. A total of 227 scholarships have been awarded from 1973-2019.

Award Amount: Scholarships for up to $5,000 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.
