American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) Institute for Oral Health

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually, two to baccalaureate degree students and three to certificate/associate's degree students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must have completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene certificate, associate's degree, or baccalaureate degree curriculum prior to receiving this scholarship. Students entering their first year of a dental hygiene program are not eligible; students who are in the process of completing their first year at time of application may apply.
  4. Must be enrolled in a dental hygiene program.
  5. Must be a full-time student.
  6. Must be a student or professional member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: For all non-merit-based awards (i.e., those without the word "merit" in the name of the award), the student must have a financial need of $1,500 or more and must electronically sign the application attesting to such need. Scholarships are awarded based on how well the applicant demonstrates the goal or achievement of the scholarship for which he/she applies.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
