Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  3. Must be a student or professional member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA).
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Must be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  7. Must have completed a minimum of one year in a baccalaureate dental hygiene curriculum prior to receiving this scholarship. Students entering their first year of a dental hygiene program are not eligible; students who are in the process of completing their first year at time of application may apply.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is open to U.S. students pursuing a baccalaureate degree in dental hygiene who are student or professional members of the American Dental Hygienists' Assocation (ADHA). Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrated financial need of $1,500 or more.

Additional Information: This scholarship was established in memory of Wilma E. Motley. For all non-merit-based awards (i.e., those without the word "merit" in the name of the award), the student must have a financial need of $1,500 or more and must electronically sign the application attesting to such need. Scholarships are awarded based on how well the applicant demonstrates the goal or achievement of the scholarship for which he/she applies. Recipients are announced on July 1.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
