Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  2. Must be a resident of Hillsborough County, Florida.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must participate in community service and extracurricular activities.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for current high school seniors residing in Hillsborough County, Florida. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate participation in community service and extracurricular activities.

Additional Information: The Derek Jeter/Hillsborough Education Foundation Scholarship is administered through the Hillsborough Education Foundation. It is awarded to two recipients - one male, and one female - who demonstrate achievement in academics, participate in extra-curricular activities, and are active in community service.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, renewable for up to an additional three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,000.
