In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. Must plan to attend Washington State University.
  3. Must currently attend Wenatchee or Eastmont High School.

Description: The Bob & Nita Paine Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Wenatchee or Eastmont High Schools who plan to attend Washington State University.

Additional Information: The Community Foundation of North Central Washington administers more than one hundred scholarships for students residing throughout Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties. To be eligible for the Bob & Nita Paine Scholarship, applicants must reside in and attend high school in Wenatchee or East Wenatchee. Applicants must plan to attend Washington State University upon graduation. The selection of scholarship recipients is based primarily on a combination of academic achievements, strength of recommendations, and unmet fianncial need as calculated by the applicant's expected financial contribution. Additional consideration will be given to students who show strong communication skills, as well as students who have been active within the community. Scholarship recipients will be notified in early May and will be required to provide additional documentation such as a signed scholarship agreement and verification of enrollment. Funding will only be disbursed upon proof of eligibility.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. All funds will be deposited directly with the Washington State University financial aid department.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
