Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Carter High School in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Preference will be given to female applicants with a history of participation in sports.

Application requirements for the Brandy Maples Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Preference will be given to applicants planning to attend school in Tennessee and work in the East Tennessee area following graduation. Additional consideration will also be given to female applicants - especially those who are active in sports and demonstrate a spirited attitude. Factors to be considered by the selection committee will be: financial need; general aptitude for advanced educational work; evidence of participation in and service to the community; and the maturity and professionalism of the student, in that order of importance. The selection committee reserves the right to conduct brief interviews with finalists.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for up to one additional year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
