Number of Awards & Eligibility: Six awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a resident of one of the following areas: Chicago, Illinois, or the counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, or Will, Illinois; Las Vegas, Nevada, and suburbs of the area; Fairfield, Greens Farms, Redding, or Westport, Connecticut.
  4. Must be entering his/her senior year of high school in fall and plan on attending an accredited college/university in the United States for a bachelor's degree or four-year program.
  5. Must hava a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.
  6. Must have an ACT composite score of 22 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for high school seniors who reside in Chicago, IL, or surrounding areas; Las Vegas, NV, or surrounding areas; Fairfield, Greens Farms, Redding, or Westport, CT. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 22 or higher.

Application requirements for the Bruce Fishkin Scholarship Fund are:

  • Interview (finalists only)
Additional Information: An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the winners. Decisions of the selection committees are final and are not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given. The committee will consider: essay content; academic achievements and records; personal interview for finalists.

Award Amount: This scholarship will be in the amount of a "full ride" for eight semesters (up to $200,000 total). This includes funding for tuition, room, board, books, supplies, and necessary equipment required for course load.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $200,000.
