Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. Must reside in and attend school in Chelan, Washington.

Description: The Cone Family Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Chelan High School in Chelan, Washington.

Additional Information: The Cone Family Scholarship was funded and established by Judge Charles E. Cone in memory and honor of his mother Victoria and his father, a previous Chelan High School teacher & Superintentendent, Charles E. Cone. Awards are administered through the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, who helps to organize and distribute more than one hundred scholarships each year for students residing throughout Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties in Washington state. The selection of scholarship recipients is based primarily on a combination of academic achievements, strength of recommendations, and unmet fianncial need as calculated by the applicant's expected financial contribution. Recipients will be notified in early May and will be required to provide additional documentation such as a signed scholarship agreement and verification of enrollment.

Award Amount: $500 annually. Previous recipients are eligible to re-apply in future years, but renewal is not guaranteed.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
