Additional Information: The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career. This scholarship is provided annually in honor of the Darooge family and seeks to assist in the higher education of a graduating Kent County high school senior who plans to pursue a major in construction or a related field.

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the student's unmet need and the availability of funds.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
