Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to attend a school in the University of Hawai'i system.
  3. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must plan to enroll as a full-time student (12 credits per semester).
  6. Must be from the island of Kaua'i.
  7. Must be a high school senior at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This schoalarship is available for high school seniors who are from the island of Kaua'i in Hawaii. Students must have a grade point average of 2.7 or higher and plan to attend a college in the University of Hawaii system.

Application requirements for the Dolly Ching Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: This award was established by Dorothy "Dolly" Ching when she retired in 1994. Dolly was the first female Executive Vice President at Bank of Hawaii. All applicants for this award must demonstrate financial need and good moral character. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.

Award Amount: Approximately $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
