Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must be a resident of Dallas, Texas.
  5. Must have an SAT score of 1190 or higher or an ACT score of 24 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Dr. Anson L. Clark Scholarship is available for current high school seniors residing and attending school in Dallas, TX who have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and contribution to the community through community service and leadership.

Additional Information: The Communities Foundation of Texas has been a partner with local individuals, families and businesses for raising the quality of life in the Texas community since 1953. Providing scholarships to deserving students is an important part of this mission, in the hopes that financial assistance will help these students to reach their full potential in high schools, colleges and continuing education across the country. This scholarship is designed to provide ongoing financial support for all four years of an undergraduate degree. Applicants will be selected on academic achievement, financial need, and contribution to the community through community service and leadership.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 annually, renewable for up to an additional three years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.
