Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Wenatchee High School.
  2. Must have at least one year as an active member in the Golden Apple Marching Band.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior.

Description: The Dr. N.K. Bhide Band Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Wenatchee High School who were active with the school marching band for at least one year.

Application requirements for the Dr. N.K. Bhide Band Scholarship are:

  • Recommender emails
  • Student Aid Report
Additional Information: The Dr. N.K. Bhide Band Scholarship is provided annually to graduating seniors at Wenatchee High School who have been active within the school's Golden Apple Marching Band. Applicants must have a minimum of one year membership with the marching band. The scholarship is administered through the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a charitable organization that provides assistance for individuals and groups that promote community in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic achievements, unmet financial need, and demonstrated contribution to the Golden Apple Marching Band. Recipients will be notified in May and will be required to provide additional documentation proving eligibility, such as proof of acceptance or enrollment at an accredited college or university in the United States.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable. All funds will be deposited directly with the school of the recipient's choice.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
