In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be majoring in or planning to major in music.
  2. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or current student at Ventura College.

Description: The Helen Mathilda Yunker Music Scholarship Fund is available for Ventura County residents who graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled at Ventura College. Applicants must be majoring in or planning to major in music.

Additional Information: The Helen Mathilda Yunker Music Scholarship Fund is provided annually through the Ventura County Community Foundation. Awards are provided to current graduating high school seniors in the Ventura County area, as well as students who are currently enrolled at Ventura College. All applicants must be majoring in or planning to major in music studies. Dedication to the field of music as well as unmet financial need will be major considerations during the scholarship selection process.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. Previous recipients are eligible to apply again in future years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
