Number of Awards & Eligibility: Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year. Each student meeting the requirements will receive an award, pending availability of funds.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a transferring college student with 12 completed hours of college study.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must attend Hiram College in Ohio.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Ohio.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for graduating high school seniors with who are member of Phi Theta Kappa. Students must apply for admission to Hiram College in Ohio.

Application requirements for the Hiram College Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship are:

  • FAFSA by 3/15/2020
  • Recommendation letter
  • Interview
  • Essay
  • Phi Theta Kappa Membership
Additional Information: Hiram College created a new scholarship program for entering students in the fall that serves to recognize academic achievement and help students and families who deserve a private college education during a time of economic uncertainty. An applicant that successfully submits his/her FAFSA and application for admission by Feb. 1 should expect to receive a financial package sometime in early March.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for up to three years as long as the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.
