Application requirements for the LIFE Lessons Essay Contest are:

  • Application form
  • Essay or Video submission
Additional Information: All eligible entries received will be judged by a panel of qualified judges on the equally-weighted criteria of: 1) The compelling nature of the story (i.e., how the entrant dealt with the loss on a personal and financial level) and 2) The educational nature of the story regarding the role of insurance (i.e., how life insurance, other forms of insurance, or lack of insurance impacted the family's ability to meet future financial goals). Potential winners will be selected in August.

Award Amount: Scholarship awards range in amount from $5,000 to $15,000. All awards are provided annually and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,679.
