Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be the son or daughter of a current member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
  4. Must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student at the time of application.

Description: This scholarship is available for a U.S. student pursuing undergraduate or graduate study. Applicants must be the child of a current member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Application requirements for the Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • List of activities
  • Self-addressed stamped postcard
Additional Information: A student is only eligible for one scholarship from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified. Scholarships are awarded regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. Only winners are notified by the National DAR Scholarship Chairman following the approval of a ruling by the executive committee of the NSDAR.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
