Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must have a GPA of 3.25 or above.
  3. Must plan to major in history.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must plan to enroll full-time.
  6. Must be a graduating high school senior about to enter their freshman year of college.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors who are planning to major in or pursue the study of history in a full-time accredited college or university in the United States. The applicant must have a GPA of 3.25.

Application requirements for the Lucinda Beneventi Findley History Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Financial information form
Additional Information: Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified. Scholarships are awarded regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. Only winners are notified by the National DAR Scholarship Chairman following the approval of a ruling by the executive committee of the NSDAR.

Award Amount: $2,000, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.
