Description: The Make Me Laugh Scholarship, offered by UNIGO, is open to all U.S. students who are 14 and older and who are currently enrolled (or enroll no later than fall of 2025) in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education. One scholarship winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. The Scholarship prize will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education attended by the scholarship prize recipient (once the scholarship prize recipient has enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor). The scholarship prize recipient must submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec. 31, 2026.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications are available online. A complete application must include name and contact information, background details, academic details, and a short original, previously unpublished written response to the scholarship topic, OMG... finding and applying for scholarships is serious business, but it's time to lighten things up a little. We don't want to know why you deserve $1,500 or how great your grades are, we simply want to LOL. Describe an incident in your life, funny or embarrassing (fact or fiction), and make us laugh! The student's written response must be written in English, with correct spelling and grammar, and it must not exceed 250 words. No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages will be accepted once the student has submitted his/her original application. All applications become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned. The sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or unintelligible entries. Limit one application per person. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 pm PDT on the deadline date.
