Number of Awards & Eligibility: 11 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must plan to study or be studying in Hawaii.
  6. Must be of African-American descent.
  7. Must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credits per semester for graduate).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are of African-American descent and studying at a college in Hawaii. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: *Please note: Applicants for this scholarship do not have to be residents of Hawaii. All applicants must demonstrate financial need and good moral character. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Students may reapply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $11,000.
