Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be of Armenian descent. His/her father and/or mother and/or grandparent must be of Armenian origin.
  6. Must enroll full time in the upcoming fall semester.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. undergraduate students who are of Armenian descent and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must demonstrate financial need and participate in Aremnian community service.

Application requirements for the Richard R. Tufenkian Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Proof of accept.
  • Tax returns
Additional Information: Financial need is required. Must participate in Armenian community service.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,000.
