In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who are graduating from an Alachua or Bradford county (FL) high school and plan to attend Santa Fe College. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and must also reside in Alachua or Bradford counties.

Application requirements for the Santa Fe College Charles L. Blount Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Students may apply for a maximum of three scholarships as long as they meet the established criteria. Students can receive only one scholarship award per academic year. Scholarships are applied to the academic year awarded. Scholarships are non-transferable. A thank-you note to the scholarship donor must be received before the award is posted to the student's account.

Award Amount: $1,600 annually, renewable for one additional year if the recipient maintains a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. The scholarship is awarded in equal installments for fall and spring terms.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,600.
