Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be applying to or currently enrolled in an eligible program.
  4. Must plan to attend or be attending Santa Fe College.
  5. Must be a resident of Alachua or Bradford counties in Florida.
  6. Must have applied to or be enrolled in a nursing program.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  8. Must enroll in 12 or more credit hours.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. students who are applying to or enrolled in a nursing program at Santa Fe College. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the Santa Fe College Florence Smith Nursing Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Florence Smith Nursing Scholarship was established by a private donation from the Florence Smith Estate in October 2007. Students may apply for a maximum of three scholarships as long as they meet the established criteria. Students can receive only one scholarship award per academic year. Scholarships are applied to the academic year awarded. Scholarships are non-transferable. A thank-you note to the scholarship donor must be received before the award is posted to the student's account.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Most scholarships offered by the SFC Office for Development are valued at $1,600 annually.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,400.
