Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must demonstrate past and current involvement in community service, public service, volunteer work and/or environmental activities.
  4. Must live in the South Coast Water Disctrict (SCWD) service area which includes Dana Point, Capistrano Beach, Monarch Beach, South Laguna and parts of north San Clemente & north San Juan Capistrano in California. Students may contact SCWD to confirm that they live within its service area.
  5. Must be a high school senior planning to enroll in college in the next academic year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors residing in the South Coast Water Distcit service area are eligible to apply. Students must demonstrate community involvement.

Additional Information: Since South Coast Water District initiated its scholarship program in 2001, the District has awarded a total of $17,500 to 35 college-bound high school students who live in our service area.

Award Amount: $2,500 for first place; $1,000 for second; $750 for third; and $250 for the viewer's choice award. All awards are provided on a one-time basis and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,125.
