Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be the child of an FRA member.
  4. Must have a mother or father in the FRA.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who are dependents of a Fleet Reserve Association member.

Application requirements for the Stanley A. Doran Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Essay
  • Activities resume
Additional Information: Awardees are selected based on financial need, academic standing, character and leadership qualities. Scholarship recipients are notified in writing and by telephone. FRA only notifies the applicants who have been selected to receive a scholarship.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
