In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia
  2. Must be enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary college/ university
  3. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

Description: Every person accused of committing a crime in Minnesota has the right to legal counsel, but the specific attorney you enlist can make a major difference in the outcome of a criminal case. Public defenders work hard to fulfill their legal obligations, but they are also often burdened with multiple cases at once, meaning they may not be able to give your case the individualized attention it deserves. The Strong Work Ethic scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution.
