Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an incoming first-time-in-college freshman.
  4. Must plan to attend the University of North Florida.
  5. Must have a UNF recalculated high school grade point average of 3.3 or higher.
  6. Must demonstrate commitment to community service.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are incoming freshmen at the University of North Florida. Students must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher, a demonstrated commitment to community service, and financial need.

Application requirements for the UNF Bank of America Community Scholars Endowment are:

  • Application form
  • FAFSA
  • Recommendation letter
  • Resume
  • Interview (if requested)
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Students must demonstrate financial need. Financial need is determined by a student's campus cost of attendance minus the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated from the FAFSA, and other aid received. Students may be required to schedule a scholarship interview. Such students will be provided with the date and time for the interview. Current UNF students and transfer students are not eligible to apply.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, renewable for three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,000.
