Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a Florida resident.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  5. Must attend the University of South Florida in Tampa.
  6. Must have a weighted grade point average of 4.3 or higher.
  7. Must have an SAT score of 1430 or higher OR an ACT score of 32 or higher.
  8. Must plan to attend a college or university in Florida.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Florida high school seniors who have a weighted grade point average of 4.0 or higher and SAT scores of 1430 and ACT scores of 32 are eligible for this award upon admission to the University of South Florida.

Application requirements for the USF Presidential Award for Florida Residents are:

  • $30 app. fee
  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information: Academic requirements include having a 4.30+ GPA and 1430+ SAT (Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and Math) or 32+ ACT

Award Amount: $5,000 per year  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.
