Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  3. Must graduate from a Baltimore city public high school.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  6. Must be a resident of Baltimore, Maryland.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: Walter G. Amprey, former superintendent of Baltimore City Public Schools, dedicated his career to educating children. This scholarship honors him and supports the efforts of Baltimore City Public School students to attend college. The applicant must demonstrate financial need and a record of academic achievement.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
