Description: The Yolo Youth Service Awards are provided to high school seniors in Yolo County, CA who demonstrate a commitment to community service and volunteer work.

Additional Information: The Yolo Youth Service Awards provide financial assistance for graduating high school seniors in Yolo County, CA. Applicants must demonstrate a history of committed service to local charitable and volunteer work. In addition to the state application procedures, students and sponsors must also complete the application on the YCF website at www.yolocf.org. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic merit and other factors, as determined by the individuals or organizations who are sponsoring the award. The Sacramento Region Community Foundation manages and administers dozens of scholarship programs that are available to local area students. Funds are financially supported by individuals, families, businesses, and other charitable organizations within Sacramento. Questions or inquiries about a specific award or application procedures may be directed to the Grants & Scholarship Manager using the provided contact information.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. A $500 grant will also be provided to one of the charitable organizations that the student has previously worked with for community service.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
