Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior at time of application. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must be enrolled full time.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must major in aeronautical/aerospace engineering or biomedical engineering.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to female U.S. and international college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are majoring in aeronautical/aerospace engineering or biomedical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full time.

Application requirements for the Brill Family Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
