Number of Awards & Eligibility: Four awards offered annually, two per application cycle.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be enrolled in a graduate nursing program.
  4. Must be enrolled in an AACN member school of nursing. A list of eligible institutions is available online at www.aacn.nche.edu/about-aacn/member-schools.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. graduate nursing students who are enrolled at an AACN member institution. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship are:

Additional Information: This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring. Please note: All students must be members of the AACN Graduate Student Nursing Academy (GNSA). If the student is not a member of GNSA at time of application, he/she may submit a membership application online at www.aacn.nche.edu/students/gnsa/join. Membership is free. Winners will be announced within one month of each deadline and contacted to redeem the award. If selected for the scholarship, AACN will verify the student's good standing in his/her program with the dean of the nursing school. Winners will be asked to make a post summarizing their essay in the GNSA Collaboration Community.

Award Amount: $2,500 per semester: four scholarships per year  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.
