Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must be in his/her second or third year pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in polymers, materials science, or plastics engineering.
  5. Must be focusing on a career in plastic, rubber, or polymer processing/manufacturing.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. and Canadian undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in degree in polymer, materials science, or plastics engineering and focusing on a career in plastics, rubber, or polymer processing/manufacturing. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: All applicants must: be or become a member of SPE; and be in good academic standing with their schools. Financial need will be considered. All scholarships will be paid directly to the recipients' schools. The SPE Foundation will not award scholarships to applicants who are not qualified and reserves the right to not award a scholarship in a given year if it so chooses. The recipient must submit a testimonial report to the Extrusion Division as to the benefit they were given by receiving this scholarship.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
