Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Boone County, West Virginia.
  4. Must be pursuing a degree in nursing.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must be a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours).
  7. Must be a entering sophmore year of college.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. college sophomores who are residents of Boone County, West Virginia and who are majoring in nursing. The applicant must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible. Click here to learn more and apply today!

Application requirements for the Geraldine Gee Nursing Scholarship Fund are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Tax return
Additional Information: Students may only receive one scholarship per year from TGKVF. The applicant will be notified by TGKVF by May 15. The foundation will mail the full amount of the award in August. It is applied to the entire academic year. The check is payable jointly to the recipient and the college, but is mailed directly to the recipient. Any student who withdraws from school for any reason will be expected to notify the foundation of his/her status and refund any unused, refundable portion of the scholarship. In addition to other requirements, the applicant must also demonstrate good moral character.

Award Amount: $950 annually, renewable for three additional years if the student continues to meet eligibility criteria. The student must re-apply to be considered for renewability.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $950.
