Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. women.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must enroll full time.
  4. Must be a reentry/non-traditional student.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  6. Must major in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to women who are re-entry/non-traditional students majoring in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the IBM Linda Sanford Women’s Technical Advancement Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $1,250 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.
