Number of Awards & Eligibility: Seven awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must either be a resident of Kalihi-Palama, HI, with one of the following zip codes: 96817 or 96819.
  4. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university as a full-time student (12 credits per semester for undergraduate; 9 credits per semester for graduate).
  6. Must be a currently enrolled college student (undergraduate or graduate) at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: This scholarship was established in 2005 by the Kalihi Education Coalition to benefit residents of the Kalihi Palama area. All applicants must demonstrate financial need and good moral character. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,000.
