In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for graduate students who are pursuing a degree in photojournalism. Students must attend full time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada.

Additional Information: Kit C. King was the Chief Photographer at The Spokesman-Review and Spokane Chronicle. He died in a fishing accident in the Snake River in 1991. All applicants must provide evidence of academic ability and financial need, including their grade point average as an indication that they can successfully complete college studies.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. Please note: The scholarship award must be used at the beginning of the next semester. Otherwise, it will be forfeited and given to an alternate.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
