Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies depending on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on an unweighted 4.0 scale.
  4. Must have an SAT score of 1400 or higher (verbal and math sections) or an ACT score of 33 or higher.
  5. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  6. Must attend Louisiana Tech University.
  7. Must be an admitted incoming freshman.
  8. Must attend college or university in Louisiana.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S high school seniors who plan to attend Louisiana Tech University. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have an SAT score of 1400 or higher or an ACT score of 32 or higher.

Additional Information: The Presidential Scholarship is an academic scholarship offered by Louisiana Tech University to incoming freshmen students. The scholarship is administered through the admissions department on the basis of demonstrated academic ability.

Award Amount: $9,000 to $9,500 annually, renewable for up to three additional years. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a quarterly bases) for continued eligibility.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,500.
