Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Must have a strong interest in horticulture.
  4. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior.
  5. Must be married. Please note: If no married students apply, the scholarship will go to an undergraduate student working his/her way through school with financial need and family obligations.
  6. Must be a citizen or resident of the U.S. or Canada OR be enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Canada.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for married U.S. and Canadian undergraduate students who have a strong interest in horticulture. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. If no married students apply, the award goes to an undergraduate student with financial need and family obligations.

Additional Information: Mike and Flo Novovesky have enjoyed more than 30 years of active participation in the floriculture industry. The Novoveskys know first hand the hardships a young couple must overcome when balancing a career and a family. Applicants for this award must demonstrate financial need. Each student who has won a scholarship will be sent a notification letter by U.S. mail. Scholarship decisions will be made by August of each year.

Award Amount: $2,400 annually, non-renewable. All scholarships are provided as cash awards with checks issued jointly in the name of the recipient and the college or institution he/she will be attending in the fall.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,400.
