Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards provided annually varies depending on the level of funding available. Last year, 24 scholarships were awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be studying in a Montessori teacher education program.
  2. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate students who are enrolled in an accredited Montessori teacher education program.

Application requirements for the Montessori Teacher Education Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: The Montessori Teacher Education Scholarship is provided each year to encourage and assist aspiring Montessori teachers as an investment in the future of Montessori education. Applications will be evaluated by a scholarship committee that considers financial need, personal statements, recommendation letters, and enrollment status.

Award Amount: Approximately $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
